My Story

Now that I am nearing the end of my business career, I've taken the time to reflect on the journey I've taken to get to this point in my life. I can clearly see now in retrospect how different life experiences have impacted and shaped my life, preparing me to be better able to relate to and help the hundreds of clients I have come to serve.

Whether it was delivering papers, pulling weeds, mowing lawns, babysitting, selling greetings cards, or painting fences....

or going to school and college, bussing tables and washing dishes, delivering stocks and bonds to brokerages and banks, working in the vault of a bank.....

or dropping out of college and hitchhiking 8,000 miles around the USA, transporting hospital patients, being forgiven of all my many sins and being chosen and adopted by my Abba Father, getting married at age 20....

or pastoring children, youth, and adults, teaching, counseling, coaching, directing a sports league for youth, being a clown, serving as a crisis chaplain for the fire dept., officiating over 200 weddings and funerals....

or traveling around the world serving the poor, sharing good news in practical ways like providing food and schooling and bringing clean water to people ravaged by war...

or fighting depression, feeling betrayed and abandoned...... having my hopes and dreams dashed upon the rocks of broken promises and disappointment ....

or working as an espresso machine salesman and barista trainer who didn't like the taste of coffee (God's sense of humor!),

or selling supplemental insurance to employees, helping union members get disability benefits, living through the Great Recession and "Lost Decade",  being forced into bankruptcy and losing our home of 20 years....

or passing the most difficult exam of my life for my securities license, setting up and managing 401(k) plans for small businesses, learning about tax saving plans and "Safe Money" investment strategies...

or experiencing business failures and successes, enduring broken promises and unfulfilled monetary goals, helping people plan for a solid retirement income....

or being a husband of 44 years, the proud Dad of 3 amazing adult kids and the Boppa to 5 grandkids who are my main source of joy. It never ceases to amaze me how thrilled they are when I find peanut m&m's in their ears for them to eat!

God has worked  all these things together for my good and made me the man I am today."
